The Gyöngyös foundation for Education and Culture was founded in 2006 with the aim of creating such a financial and scientific basis which makes it possible:

-          to support the educational institutions of Gyöngyös and its surroundings, to find talents,

-          to ensure personal methodological and objective means for successful teaching in order to gain a proper level (not only for educational institutions of course, but also trainings at firms),

-          to support the studies of employees, and students having outstanding results in their studies,

-          to support the communities of student self activity and their organisations,

-          to create a scientific and cultural centre

During our work we don’t deal only with talent-care but also with searching for proper experts, sponsors and involving them into our common work.

We try to use our favourable geographical means and the good professional relationship formed with the micro-, middle-, and macro firms of the area, which involves using the professional novelties, information about the application possibilities and showing direction.

We have good relationship with several educational institutions (contracts, letters of intention) among others with institutions for primary-, secondary school trainings, college-, and adult trainings, and examination places – so we have the possibility to spread information in a wide range.

Because of the difficult situation of the economy and its social consequences it is well-known that the demographic trends show the stable decreasing of the number of children and young people. We can also see other unfavourable processes, unfortunately the rate of those who do not finish primary school till the age of 16 is 5%. Many young people and children don’t get the necessary possibilities for the development of the personality because of family and social reasons. Parent have less and less time for children and in many cases an example to follow is missing which would be inevitable to fulfil parental role in socioculture, care, education and communication to show the right way. To have the necessary skills and to learn the proper social attitudes the preparation for the world of work can be successful. Joining to the national talent point net of the national talent support council we created our local talent point, the basic idea of which is also finding helping and mentoring young talents and we try to take part at a high level that our possibilities allow to reach this aim.

We expect the application of those young people who feel themselves talented at any field, and we welcome information about talented young people and students living in the area. We ask you to support our initiation, because there are questions in which results can only be reached with social cooperation. Thank you!
